Raise A Reader Two

These activities provide parents with ideas to try at home that encourage fundamental language and literacy skills. The picture books used in these activities can be found at local libraries, bookstores and through online resources. The activities use materials that parents might have around the home.

Each activity uses literacy skills that are essential to becoming a fluent reader. The activities are designed to use a child's whole body in learning and provide for all different learning styles to teach each skill. The guide was developed approprately for children ages three through eight years, but can be used by the whole family.
